So who out there would be interested in attending a Call of Cthulhu LRP game?

* This is regardless of whether or not you played my tabletop game. I am just trying to find out interest levels.
I have been inspired!

I am going to run the same tabletop adventure that I ran on Sunday as an LRP event.

I have been reading the Cthulhu LRP rules and I am going to do it.

Dan's offered to help me, and anyone who played on Sunday if you want to be involved in a running/npcing side of things do let me know.

I've started thinking about a venue and how to improve upon the plot.

Am enthused.

.... actually it doesn't. It's just finished (*sob*), but in the effort to kid myself that I'm not back at work I'll bibble on about it here.

Friday's trip around the Galaxy )

Saturday = Preperation, Preperation, Preperation & Daleks )

Sunday = Pre Game Jitters )

It's a holiday in Carcosa, where people dress in yellow! * )

Monday = A trip to Dad's* )

So yes, a good weekend. Shame it's over.
Due to complications [livejournal.com profile] smells_funny may need to drop out of the game, as he might not be able to make it for 5.

Is there anyone else interested in playing? (If need be I can taken on 2 people instead of one.)

Please let me know if you are (same disclaimer as before - about suitability etc.)

Found someone. :-)
Players will be: Dan, [livejournal.com profile] woodbrook, [livejournal.com profile] evilgood, [livejournal.com profile] tadeous, [livejournal.com profile] mab69,
[livejournal.com profile] starfish_slayer, and [livejournal.com profile] smells_funny.

Game will start at 5pm on Sunday (meaning we'll start playing then, so please try and get there before that time), and will finish when either you're all dead or the game has come to it's natural conclusion (as it's Cthulhu that's likely to be when you're all dead or gibbering from insanity).

The setting will be 1920's, but as I said before you won't need to give any thought to characters you'd like to play. Why, I hear you ask? (Well actually I don't hear you as this is my LJ and not me actually talking to you) - this is because you characters will start the game with near total amnesia.

As the game progresses you will learn more about yourselves and those others around you.

As said before I've never run CoC before, and I know some of you have never played it before, so it'll be a learning experience - if you want to buy the rulebook though the one I have is the Chaosium 6th Edition one (not the d20 knockoff).

Finally if you think you won't be able to play please let me know asap simly because I will be working out all the characters and their relationships before we start playing, and if one of you drops out it could mess things up. (No pressure there, no siree.)

Righty, any questions, e-mail me or ask on here. (Game related ones that is).
I've never run it before - but am having an idea for a game that may or may not work.

Will have a think on it - then may run it at some point over this weekend, most likely Sunday - am thinking start afternoon-ish - finish later (when people are done or everyone's dead).

This is only a possibility at this stage - but am thinking of running it for about 4-6 people (one of which will obviously be my Dan as it's his house, and Amanda has already expressed an interest, so will save a space for Lex).

You won't have to write backgrounds or make up characters in advance (I'll be doing that) - but if you have some knowledge of the rules that'll help me as I've never ran it before.

If anyone else is interested please let me know. Registering your interest does not guarentee I'll be able to let you play. It'll be based on whether I think you are suitable for the characters I have in mind.

Leave a comment if interested.
