My car got clamped last night. Was most annoying, but sadly accurate. Didn't have any cash in my account to cover it, so a huge thanks to Neill and Paul for helping out.

Star Wars was good fun, next one should be interesting, need to find out if Darren and Elle are going to be there before I can say if I am going - unless I get ordered from on high to be so.

Weekend was ok, Friday night I was knackered and that carried over to most of Saturday, spent Saturday night playing boardgames with Linda, Sarah and Marc, then Sunday daytime we went to 'Collectors World'.
An odd place in which an old rich, eccentric has stored all the stuff he's collected over the years - including the world's largest collection of tie pins and padlocks. He also had Little Nelly from the James Bond film. Very odd.

... was meant to be spent doing lots of Gathering related stuff, but instead I did the following:

Friday - Played Changeling in the evening, was lots of fun. Amanda helped paint me blue so I could play my quiet, stuttering 8ft Troll. I had a lot of fun, got to swear an Oath which I will no doubt regret later on, but hey what the heck. :-)

Just hoping I can continue to go, got feeling that due to other LRP commitments I won't be able to make the next two. :-(

Saturday - I slept in really late, which I didn't mean to do, but then we went for a wander into town, and I bought us both lunch. Over lunch the subject of good sea food cam up and we randomly decided that we'd go to Cromer on Sunday so we could get some.

Did do some LT stuff later on, then Lex, Slow Dave and Psycho Neill came round, which then distracted me onto other LT related stuff.

Sunday - Dan and I headed off to Cromer, getting there for lunchtime. Had Cromer crab to eat because it is heavenly.
We went for a wander along, the beach, had a paddle in the sea, bought cockles, muscles and some more crab. Also bought sweeties for people.
One way home we called in at my Dad's for tea, then finally got home about 9ish.

Was a good weekend. :-)
... was pretty cool.

I started celebrating one day early on the Wednesday down the Pub with everyone. [livejournal.com profile] nortysarah bought me a cool silver gun that shoots bubbles. Got rather drunk which was cool too.

Then on Thursday, my actual birthday, my Dad, Linda (his new wife) and her mother came down to visit me. They took me to lunch and we wandered the Galleria. My Dad made his usual helpful observations about my life and made me sit in a shoeshop while he looked for shoes. On the upside, he gave me a £50 cheque.

Thursday evening was very cool though. Dan and I went to dinner at Aroma in Stevenage, all you can eat Chinese, yum. Then we went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean. Now some people seemed to have not liked it, but I thought it was fabulous. It was just a good entertaining, fun film. Johnny Depp was brilliant, and so was Geoffrey Rush. Would quite happily see it again.
Lot less stressed... but do still need to talk to my Dad.

It took the piss a little too much!

Pub Meet was fun last night though. Got to laugh a lot at Silk. :-)
Got home at 12.30am.

Not impressed.
Got far too worked up about it and the fact that I didn't want to go on my own.

Dave's coming with me tomorrow though, he's a star.

*Yay!* I thought to myself, *after a busy weekend it'll be nice to do nothing tonight.*

Then it dawned on me. I have to drive all the way to my Dad's house tonight to buy him food for when he gets back to England on Wednesday. Why can't he be like a normal person, deal with the jet lag and do it himself, instead of having me drive all the way up there?!

More to the bloody point his mate Gordon lives bloody closer. Gordon could drop things into him on the Wednesday!

It's a bloody 1 1/2 hour drive each way.

Am so pissed off!
The wedding was very nice. I cried, but think I managed to hide it.

The weirdest thing was the lone seagull that watched the entire ceremony.... nuff said about that..

Met my 'brothers', and we all arranged to meet up at Busch Gardens today, and I've just got back. They are both very nice people, and we do seem to have stuff in common. Somehow I lost all common sense and went on all the evil rollercoasters, luckily I held in my lunch. :-) Dan and I had a really good day, I'm glad we went with them.

Oh and went to see Star Trek: Nemesis last night too.

I am unhappy about it, and do not wish to make any more comments as some may not have seen it yet.
