I fear that the strain of having to look after Miss Tristiana has seriously affected the sanity of either Lady E or one (or more) of her maids. For her hair appears to turned an astonishing shade of chestnut. I suspect it may be the maids getting their revenge for the recent spate of unsavoury language and foulest of tempers.
