Well
woodbrook and
evilgood are now safey deposited in Cardiff.
The weekends activities started on Friday night with Dan and I helping shift some of their stuff onto the van, and a late night to sleep.
We were up and back there at 9am, Lex had already set off about 8.30, loaded up Dan's car and Amanda's (well
sherbertsaucers had done Mindy's car), then I proceeded to drive us to Wales.
Their house is very nice, and with the combined efforts of the 6 of us we got the van and the two cars unloaded quite quickly. The house is going to look fab once they've got everything unpacked and arranged how they want it.
After the departure of Lex's mum and stepdad we headed of to Tesco for lunch and then met up with Taff Dan, Adrian, Leon,
overload74 and Neill. Food shopping and a cup of tea later we were heading to Cardiff Castle to watch MacBeth, where we were joined by
wildwinter, Rachel, Dan Mac, Rachel, Lashra and others.
It wasn't a bad production but it wasn't as good as some of the others I've seen.
After the play a group of us headed off to aclub corridor called Metros - that once you got past the bit that smelled like vom was not too bad.
We were pretty sure that my Dan and Skyrme of the Earth were the oldest people there - and that most of the place was still in nursery school when Prodigy's "Out of Space" came out, but it was a lot of fun. I still cannot believe the two who were doing dance routines to the Foo Fighters "All My Life" though.
After we left we eventually ended up at Ian and Rachel's house - I say eventually as it took us a long time to get the drunken Dan Mac anywhere - and passed out about 4am ish.
Sunday, after Ian and Rachel cooked us breakfast (Thank You!), they gave us a lift to Lex and Amanda's then a smaller group of us pootled off to the beach.
A fab day!
We eventually left Cardiff about 7.30pm and sadly didn't get home until 12.30 due to a combination of football fans leaving Cardiff and a number of accidents making the M4 rubbish.
Am now back at work and hoping that Dan hears something today as I now really want to move!

Date: 2005-08-08 10:13 am (UTC)Would have been cool to see you, but we didn't get back to Cardiff until 6.30 and we left an hour later - also traffic was shite, it took us 40mins to cross the bridge, so it lucky you didn't come really.

(Why does SMALL tagged text on your journal look not-very-small?)
The important issue, however, is the two dozen chocolate-coated, rum-soaked cherries in my fridge. I'm not sure how well they're going to keep, and I can't think of a worthy way of disposing of them.

Date: 2005-08-08 11:02 am (UTC)Monday night = Diving theory exam
Tuesday night = Diving pool training
Wednesday night = Sonja's birthday, so either pub or D&D (Yeah, I know.)
Thursday night = Final prep and packing for CDBITVOTS
Friday night = CDBITVOTS
So this week's not looking that good for a visit. On the other hand, if we're going to drag Sonja along to something festive on Wednesday and you guys are going to come along, then I could probably hold on off the eating.
