I ran the first session of my Forgotten Realms Campaign last night, and I think it went well despite the bittiness and slow start that is normal to a first session of a campaign.

Didn't really want to have to stop, but it got to 11.30pm and I needed to go to bed.

Hey [livejournal.com profile] thewhitespider! You wan buy a Peridot?

Get away from me, Ram-Ass!

So many destructive Evocations; such a small jeweller's shop...

I do like the Forgotten Realms setting - somehow a lot more "real" than the generic Greyhawk setting. Maybe it's that it was not originally written by an American, I'm not sure, but it just seems to fit.

Whearbouts in the Realms are you setting it?

Best of luck with it - my last FR campaign ended when the party met a troll, having told no one where they were going, taking all the information they had gathered with them, and wandered so far off the beaten track that their bodies would never be found.

We've just arrived in Telflamm, and we're trying to convince our party leader to get in touch with our contact there - unfortunately he mostly seems to want to stay in an week "for a week or two"..

Ah - Thesk.

Be careful, and stay out of the shadows.

Shhhh! Bad Nick. :-)

I think they are more concerned that the tavern they're staying in is at the bottom of the hill that the Thayan Enclave is atop of.

Good advice anywhere in the Realms ;-)

Blow it - it's good advice anywhere in any roleplaying game ;-)

...unless of course you're baking under the desert sun.
